                        La Porte Community Church
La Porte Community Church (LPCC) began in 1925 as a true community church which encompassed all denominations. As the town of La Porte grew, the different denominations began to build their own churches and started to split off from the Community Church. Today, we are affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).   The denomination was born in the 1800s, and continues to be influenced by its
founding ideals of our unity in Christ with openness and diversity in practice
                        and belief.

LPCC is a place that all peoples, of all faiths are welcome to come and worship. We, as a Church, are mainly bibled-based, believing in Jesus Christ as our Savior, in His birth, baptism, crucifixtion and resurrection. We, as a congregation, celebrate the life and death of our Savior through communion on the first Sunday of the month and other special times, through song and praise, and through special services throughout the year. The fifth Sunday of each month is given to the children and youth of the Church in a special service where the youth develop and lead the service.
