Beliefs and Practices
Freedom of Belief
We are called together around two essential elements of faith:
- belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and
- that Christians are free to follow their conscience guided by the Bible, the Holy Spirit, study, prayer, and are expected to extend that freedom to others.
Importance of Church Unity
All Christians are called to be one in Christ and to seek opportunities for common witness and service wherever possible, affirming each as children of God.
Open Communion
The Lord's Supper or Communion is open to all who believe in Jesus Christ and is celebrated every week.
Baptism
In baptism, the self-centered life is set aside and a new life of trust in God begins. We honor all forms of baptism.
Ministry of All Believers
Both laypersons and commissioned and ordained ministers lead worship, direct service opportunities, and nurture spiritual growth.
We are a congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) please visit: www.disciples.org to find out more.
