Welcome!
We are happy that you stopped by our neck of the web! At La Porte Community Church (LPCC), we are a group of people in varying stages in our faith development who confess together that Jesus is the Christ, Son of the living God. We proclaim him Lord and Savior of the world. We are non-judgmental seeking to make the love of Jesus the driving force in our congregation.
Along with this unifying confession, we practice freedom of belief guided by Bible Study, leading of the Holy Spirit, and dialogue so that we can grow together as followers of Jesus Christ. Our hope is that we find mutual ministry, support, prayer, worship, play and fellowship that both encourages and expands our understanding of God and each other.

Our history
La Porte Community Church (LPCC) began in 1925 as a true community church which encompassed all denominations. As the town of La Porte grew, the different denominations began to build their own churches and started to split off from the Community Church. Today, we are affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The denomination was born in the 1800's, and continues to be influenced by its founding ideals of our unity in Christ with openness and diversity in practice and belief.
LPCC is a place that all peoples, of all faith traditions are welcome to come and worship. We, as a Church, are Bible-based, believing in Jesus Christ as our Savior, in His birth, baptism, crucifixion and resurrection. We, as a congregation, celebrate the life and death of our Savior through communion on the first Sunday of the month and other special times, through song and praise, and through special services throughout the year.
